A Great Visit With Aunt Lee Ann!!

Boy have we been spoiled! The past 2 weeks have been so much fun! Aunt Lee Ann and Ricardo have been visiting with us. Ricardo was able to stay for a week before returning to Spain. Addie loved getting to meet him! Aunt Lee Ann got to stay for two weeks, and we are so sad that she had to leave. Addie really wishes she lived closer so they could see each other more. Aunt Lee Ann- we miss you lots and are so thankful you got to visit. Now we are on a countdown to your Christmas trip!UT vs. Auburn Game

UT vs. Florida Game

Addie, What do you do when Tennessee scores a touchdown??? It is so funny to watch her throw her hands up in the air when you say the word touchdown. Quick story- The other day I said to Rod, "Please don't let her touch that." All of a sudden, Addie threw her hands up in the air...we got so tickled that she heard the word touch and responded so quickly. It is amazing at what babies pick up on!

Addie is showing us how old she is....not telling us what ranking Tennessee is...ha ha.

A Fun Day in Chattanooga

We went to Chattanooga last Monday to celebrate Mimi's 60th birthday and Addison's 1st birthday. We started with a Riverboat lunch cruise, then went to take a ride on the carousel, and finally to the water park at Coolidge Park. After all of the fun, Addie had a little cake before heading to bed. It was such a fun day shared with family!

Addie wasn't quite sure about the carousel ride.

She loved the water! We weren't planning on going to the water park....that should explain what we are wearing.

Happy Birthday Addison and Mimi!!!

Tomorrow is a very special day. Not only is it Addison's first birthday, it is also Mimi's birthday. This is a pretty cute story....The day that Rod and I found out that I was pregnant, I called my mom and dad and said, "Hey Guys, what are you all going to do for mom's birthday this year?" They paused and said that they hadn't really thought about it yet....remember, this was in January, and her birthday is September 8th. That was first event that I could think of that would be about nine months from the day that we found out....so then I said, "Well, why don't you guys plan to come to Knoxville that weekend to meet your new grandbaby." Well, of course I had no idea what my due date was at that point. After going to the doctor, I was told that my due date was September 20, so we decided that there wasn't really a chance that Addie would be born on Mimi's birthday. Jump forward nine months, on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 my doctor called me while I was teaching and told me that I needed to be at the hospital the following day because they were going to induce, and I would be having my baby on Sept 8.....Little Miss Addison Grace was born on September 8, 2007 at 1:40 pm....Can you believe it?? Out of 365 days in a year, our daughter was born on Mimi's birthday. I guess you could say Mimi had a pretty good birthday last year! I think it is so neat that they get to share their special day! Little did we know when we called them that what we said would truly happen! Mimi and Addie are great buddies, and here are some special moments they have shared. Happy Birthday Addie and Mimi! We love you all very much!

A Fun Day at Home

Here are a few pics from Labor Day...

Addie is not a fan of shoes. We tried her in these, and she was so uncomfortable in them. She lasted just a couple of minutes before she was crying.
We are trying to learn body parts. Her tongue is by far her favorite! She loves to show it to you.
Go Vols!

Addie's bedtime prevented her from getting to see any of the game, but at least she was in the spirit. She had a great time playing with Mimi and Grandad.
