Happy Valentine's Day!

Lots of Snow

We were so excited about the big snow that we had here in Knoxville. Addie has seen snow before, but we haven't actually taken her out to play in it. Addie and I were out running errands when the snow started so we quickly ran home to bundle up and head outside. I haven't bought Addie any clothes that are great for the snow, but luckily a friend had given us lots of clothes and I was able to find a great coat, pants, and boots (none of which matched) for her to wear. All of the clothes and the shoes were too big, and Addie was not happy about being all bundled up. She stayed outside for a little while and walked around in the yard. She would hold snow if I put it in her hand, but she didn't pick any up on her own. I guess the "playing" in the snow will come when she is a little older.

What Happens in Vegas...

Just kidding...nothing too exciting happened, but we did have lots of fun. Rod and I got to go the Builder's Show again this year, and it was in Las Vegas. We had a great time, and his parents got to go with us. If anyone needs any info on Vegas or how to get good deals while in Vegas, my husband is the person to ask. He knows all kinds of little tricks to use to get upgraded rooms, free meals, etc. I was impressed! We had lots of fun but none of us hit it big like we had planned! We did get to meet Lou Holtz at the beginning of the show. He was the keynote speaker and did a great job! Very inspirational and so gracious! We sure did miss our little girl while we were gone, but she had a great time with Mimi and Grandad. She is saying Mimi all the time now, especially when she can't get what she wants from her mom!
