After the Meltdown...

Here is the best tear-free picture Rod got of Addie with Santa.

All calm now that we are finished with our visit to see Santa

Our Trip To See Santa!

We headed to the mall on Tuesday to take Addie to see Santa. While I had heard a few other moms say that I should be dressed so that I could be in the picture if I needed to be, I did not take the advice. Addie has definitely developed some separation anxiety these past few months, but I can't think of a time when she has cried when someone else has held her. Of course, things didn't quite work out like I had planned as you can see from the pictures below.

Waiting in line to see Santa...happy Addie.

Then....the meltdown happened....major meltdown!

Poor Addie was so upset she wouldn't even look up at the camera.

I think this was a nervous laugh here...I wasn't quite sure what to do.

Still crying!

I had no idea Addie would get this upset, and this was such a sweet Santa. He was very patient with us and offered several suggestions to try and get a picture. I know one thing....next year I won't wear pink when we go see Santa!

Pictures from Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We had good time with family, and thanks to Mimi for all of the good food. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Playing with Uncle Nick

Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Nick

It sure is tough to get Addie to look at the camera long enough to get a picture these days.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner- only 20 more days!

The Three Bears

We were so excited about seeing 3 bears on our trip. Rod got a video of them....a mama bear and her 2 cubs. They looked so cute!

A Great Weekend!

Rod and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this weekend with a trip to the mountains. We had a great time, but we missed our little one. This was our first time to leave her overnight, but Mimi and Grandad took good care of her!

These are a few of the 117 deer we saw in Cades Cove. Yes, we counted them...117.

This guy was also celebrating his 5 year anniversary on Saturday. We could not believe that he walked across this river! It was 38 degrees outside, but felt like it was about 30.

Tagged By Nikki...

Ok, so I was tagged by Nikki and now I must tag four people to do the same. This one is for fun! Go to your fourth picture folder and then go to the fourth picture in the folder. Write four things about the picture and then tag four other people. It's amazing what you'll find!!!

1. Addison was 19 days old when this picture was taken.
2. She looks so peaceful when she is sleeping. Don't all babies look so peaceful when they sleep. I love putting her to bed at night and watching her fall asleep while we rock.
3. I think her little hand is so sweet!
4. I love my little girl and miss those infant days! But it is so true that every stage is so wonderful!
Now I tag....
1. LeeAnn Richards
2. Jessica Jackson
3. Casey Stooksbury
4. Amanda Wadsworth

A Few Fall Pictures

Addie is now 14 months old! We have been having lots of fun with visits from Grandaparents! It seems like Addie is more and more fun each day, and she is learning so many new things right now. She is very observant and so curious about all of the things around her. She certainly keeps us on our toes!

Addie's Dresses from Around the World

Here are a few pics of Addie in her outfits from around the world. Aunt LeeAnn, we wanted you to get to see her in all of them. I am afraid she might have outgrown some of them before you get back into town.

This outfit is from Morocco.
This dress is from Thailand.

This dress is from Spain.

This dress is from Japan.

Trunk or Treat!

Addie had a great Halloween! We started at Lisa and Larry's house, and then we went to Trunk or Treat at our church! Addie was a Flamenco dancer for Halloween. Thanks to Aunt Lee Ann and Grammie for the dress that came all the way from Spain. They gave her this dress several months ago, and we decided this was a great opportunity for her to get to wear it! She did lots of dancing for us while she was all dressed up.
Addie on Lisa's front porch. Larry did a great job carving their pumpkins, all 13 of them!

Hanging out with Sailor! Isn't Sailor such a cute witch!!

We got to have a quick visit with Jamie, Hunter, and Savannah.
